Village Developments Plc is a family owned company, building homes for all.

Through sympathetic design, environmental awareness and high build quality, we want to ensure all our customers feel happy and secure in their new homes, and as proud to own one, as we are to design and build them.

We have an excellent reputation for building new homes with character, that are sympathetic to the local area, having undertaken many conversions of barns, farm buildings and Victorian houses. We also have vast experience in obtaining planning permission for the redevelopment of existing property, back gardens and other buildings in the Green Belt.

Village Developments prides itself on its in-house capabilities and the quality of its workmanship. It achieves this by undertaking the majority of the works with experienced and time served apprentice trained tradesmen. Those works that are sub-contracted, are also undertaken by skilled tradesmen all of whom have worked on the majority of our previous projects.

About us
Formed 10 years ago, Village Developments plc is a private, family owned company based in Surrey.

The company began by specialising in the conversion of Victorian and character farm buildings, particularly barns, and the development of new homes for sale. Since its inception, Village Developments has steadily expanded and over the past two years has grown from developing 10 units per year to over 50 this year alone. With this success behind us, the team at Village Developments is confident we can continue to deliver quality housing across the South East.

We have an excellent reputation for building new homes with character, that are sympathetic to the local area, and also have vast experience in obtaining planning permission for the redevelopment of existing property, back gardens and other buildings in the Green Belt. We are keen to maintain our track record of obtaining planning permission. Based on a thorough understanding of planning policy combined with an ability to optimise development potential, this enables us to make attractive offers to landowners who can take confidence in our professional and experienced approach.

Another element that certainly contributes to this success is the pride Village Developments has in its in-house capabilities and the quality of the workmanship this produces. It achieves this by undertaking the majority of the works with experienced and time-served, apprentice-trained tradesmen. Skilled tradesmen, most of whom have worked on the majority of the company’s previous projects, also undertake those works that are sub-contracted. It is a family owned business which benefits from this approach.

In addition to looking after its staff, Village Developments also goes to great lengths to look after the environment and is certainly an environmentally friendly company. Currently it is incorporating renewable energy into many schemes and solar heating is being fitted in 10% of the properties on site. The company always looks at its range of materials to ensure they are eco-friendly: wood comes from renewable sources, and off site back in the office everything from paper to printer cartridges are recycled.
