Comic John Bishop will play two nights at the O2 when he returns to the stage with a new tour after three years away.

Bishop, a former salesman who gave up his job in a bid to find stage success, is currently filming ITV legal drama Fearless with Sir Michael Gambon and Helen McCrory and will start his tour next year.

He said: “When I start this new tour, it will be three years since my last live show Supersonic, which is the longest break I’ve ever had. I’m very much looking forward to getting back on the road – there really is nothing like performing stand-up in front of a live audience.

“The new show is called Winging It, and in some respects having come to comedy relatively late, it sometimes feels like that’s what I’m doing in life! But I’m enjoying every minute of it.”

The 35 date tour includes two nights at the venue in Greenwich on November 2 and 3 2017.

Tickets go on sale next Thursday October 6 at 10am.
