Cheryl has revealed that her son Bear said “mama” for the first time while watching her on The Greatest Dancer.

The Love Made Me Do It singer has made her TV return as a dance captain on the new BBC series, which has received a mixed reception from viewers.

But Cheryl may have found her biggest fan in son Bear who recognised his mummy on the small screen and started shouting for her.

The proud mother told MailOnline: “He's been watching. And it was the first time he said 'Mama!'. He said it to the TV.

Cheryl shares Bear, who will turn two in March, with ex-boyfriend Liam Payne. The couple called time on their relationship in July 2018 after two years together.

Earlier this month, Cheryl returned to the small screen as a mentor on the latest BBC talent show, alongside Strictly star Oti Mabuse and Glee frontman Matthew Morrison.

The trio have each selected three acts to coach through to the final where they will be hoping to bag the £50,000 prize and the chance to perform as a guest on next year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
