More on Braintree:
Most of Braintree’s state primary schools are judged “good” by the government’s education watchdog Ofsted. The following are judged outstanding: Lyons Hall in Deerleap Way and Stisted CofE in The Street in the village of Stisted. The best-performing comprehensive school is Notley High and Braintree Sixth Form (co-ed, ages 11 to 18) in Notley Road, which is judged “good”.
Felsted in the nearby village of Felsted, and Gosfield, in Halstead, are two co-ed day and boarding private schools which take pupils from ages four to 18.
