Katie Price slams reports she is 'inconsolable after putting Harvey into residential care'
Katie Price has hit out at reports she has put her son Harvey in “full time residential care” after she was said to have been left “inconsolable” by the alleged decision.
Price, who recently admitted she was thinking about putting her eldest son into care, hit back at the claims on Twitter.
“Despite speculation led by New!magazine Harvey is not in full time residential care. He is at school as usual,” the former model tweeted.
“I am not inconsolable Thankyou for your concern!! Please get your facts right before writing about my children.”
Price, 40, then joked about making her own “Pricey Paper” to ensure fans “hear it from her first”, referring to the outpouring of stories in the media surrounding her private life.
A source close to Price also told the MailOnline that she will “always do what’s right for her children” and that “if in the future residential care is what will help Harvey that is what she will do”.
Price shares Harvey, who has Prader-Willi syndrome and is blind and autistic, with ex-footballer Dwight Yorke. She is also mother to 13-year-old Junior and 11-year-old Princess with Peter Andre and Jett, five, and Bunny, four, with Kieran Hayler.
“He doesn’t realise and he’s a danger to himself. For the first time ever now I’m thinking he might have to go residential Monday to Friday,” she said.
“If he knows he kicks off in the morning the driver won’t take him [to school] and he’s missing out on his education. He just wants to be with me all the time.
“I’ve never had respite. I don’t have a carer. I do it all myself. But I hate it because he is my life. I’ve got to do what’s best for him and it won’t be forever.”
She added that Harvey can sometimes be “triggered into a rage” which can frighten her youngest children, as well as smashing up televisions and iPads around the home.
