For example, there is a one-bedroom, second-floor flat in Scott Ellis Gardens for £1,343 a month; and for those with a bigger budget there is a two-bedroom flat in Strathmore Court, in Park Road close to Regent’s Park for £2,817 a month.

Unusually for London, St John’s Wood has a plentiful supply of family-sized flats in well-maintained mansion blocks. Four-bedroom mansion flats rent for between £3,400 a month and £12,000 a month. A four-bedroom mansion flat in St John’s Wood Park is available for £3,445 a month and on St John’s High Street there is a larger flat in Hanover House for £10,812 a month.

There is also a good choice of family-sized houses ranging from around £4,500 a month to, well, the sky’s the limit; for example there is a three-bedroom detached house in Avenue Road with an 123 foot garden available to rent for £23,833 a month. A more modest modern mews house in St James Terrace Mews is £4,767 a month.
