The Duchess of Cambridge joined her husband Prince William today to film a Christmas TV special, A Berry Royal Christmas, wearing a red dress by Alessandra Rich.

The dress, which is from the brand's autumn/ winter 2019 collection, is made of 100 per cent silk, and sells for £1,455. It is still available to buy.

The last time the 37-year-old Duchess donned a design by Rich was during a visit to Bletchley Park to view its D-Day: Interception, Intelligence, Invasion exhibition back in May, where she opted for a navy polka dot dress from the brand's spring/ summer 2018 collection.

The Duchess first debuted the dress during the official portraits for her father-in-law Prince Charles' 70th birthday.

Founded in 2010, Alessandra Rich has become known for its tongue-in-chic evening wear and has been worn by Michelle Obama and Pippa Middleton.

Taking to the official Kensington Palace instagram account, the Duke and Duchess shared a glimpse into what we can expect from the show: "The Duke, Duchess and Mary, along with some very special guests including Nadiya Hussain host a Christmas Party to thank and acknowledge staff and volunteers from charities and organisations who will be working tirelessly over the Christmas period,” the post said.

A Berry Royal Christmas will be broadcasted on the BBC on December 16.
