Finsbury Park is home to many well-regarded schools for all ages, including outstanding Parkwood primary school in Queen’s Drive, as well as City and Islington College.

Finsbury Park’s primary schools do exceptionally well; most have a very high percentage of pupils on free school dinners and yet most of the schools get very good results at age 11 and most are judged “good” by the government’s education watchdog Ofsted. The following two are judged “outstanding”: Parkwood in Queen’s Drive and Gillespie in Gillespie Road.

The best-performing comprehensives are: Highbury Fields (girls ages 11 to 18) in Highbury Hill and Skinners’ Academy (co-ed, ages 11 to 18) in Woodberry Grove.

Further education college City and Islington College (co-ed, ages 16 plus) in Holloway Road is judged “outstanding”.
