Whitegates, Castleford
The historic market town of Castleford is located within West Yorkshire at the point where the River Calder flows into the River Aire. It is also within easy travelling distance of the M62, M1 and A1, which is ideal for commuters to the major cities such as Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Doncaster and Sheffield.
Places of interest include the Xscape, a state of the art leisure complex that opened in 2003. It is an indoor skiing facility that uses real snow it also house a bowling alley, multiplex cinema, climbing walls and restaurants. Castleford has a market day on a Thursday and Saturday.
It is also the hometown of the famous rugby league club the Castleford Tigers
