Metropolitan Home Ownership
We were established in 1981 and have since provided affordable homes for more than 26,000 people in London, the Home Counties, the East Midlands and beyond.
We operate as a separate business within the charitable Metropolitan Housing Trust, part of the Metropolitan Housing Partnership. Our commercial success enables us to reinvest continually to improve our value to society.

To create and to market affordable housing services, products and choices for low and moderately paid working households.
What we do
We aim to offer properties at 25-75% of their open market value to both low (£16k-£22k) and moderate (£22k-45k) income earners. Whilst interest rates are low, we are also committed to setting low initial rents, especially in high value areas, to help meet this target.
We build homes that people want to live in, and that enhance the local environment. But our vision takes us further. As well as transforming lives, we contribute to innovative regeneration programmes and new build projects that help to transform areas and encourage strong, culturally diverse and tolerant communities.
