Mansell McTaggart, Crawley
Mansell McTaggart Independent Estate Agents and members of the Guild of Professional Estate Agents with directors as members of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) were established in 1947 and since that time prospered from their offices on the outskirts of Burgess Hill under the guidance of the Principal Jack Taylor, who retired in 1989 and sold the company to the present Directors, Gordon Andrews and Justin Wallden. Due to the changing town structure it became evident that a more prominent High Street location was needed and this became available in 1990 at 10 Station Road. In 2006 the Burgess Hill office moved just down the block to much larger premises at 20 Station Road.
Mansell McTaggart had always sold properties throughout Mid Sussex from a base in Burgess Hill, but with increased sales a new office was opened in 1992 in Haywards Heath by fellow Director Jaime Wallden, relocating to the current premises at 5 Muster Green in 1998. To complement the offices in Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath, a Cuckfield office was opened to the west in 1995 currently situated on a prominent corner position at The Nook in the High Street, and to the east an office was opened on The Green at Newick in 1998.
To increase the presence of Mansell McTaggart in East Sussex an office was opened at 212 High Street, Uckfield, and then to further enhance our exposure on the southern and northern side of Mid Sussex, two further offices were opened at 29 Keymer Road, Hassocks and 39 High Street, Crawley, in 2007. Most importantly, we are part of the National Property Centre on the prestigious Park lane in Mayfair, London, complimenting our extensive network further.
A Land and New Homes division has been specifically designed to identify and maximise the potential and value of development opportunities, not only helping larger National developers, but also offering advice to the general public and local developers. Mansell McTaggart have acquired, advised on and sold a large number of sites within Sussex during recent years.
The company has invested greatly in modern technology and the seven offices are now linked via a computer network, giving all offices access to each otherís database of buyers and sellers. The latest digital colour imagery has been installed enabling Mansell McTaggart to produce property particulars of the highest standard. The company has always advertised extensively in the local property papers and has increased this further with regular inserts in regional and national publications and all major Internet sites.
However, a quality service is not just about time saving technology and advertising despite the many benefits. Estate agency is a people business and to this end we believe that sound values together with a professional and personal service are paramount.
