In January 2003 James Ramsey Estate Agents opened for business at 3 London Street, Chertsey. The office is between the Crown Hotel and ASK restaurant, in an attractive Grade II listed building in the heart of Chertsey Town Centre Conservation Area.

With just five properties to advertise for sale, interest from local people was triggered.

As the people of Chertsey decided to try out this new Estate Agent, local residents complemented James Ramsey on their eye-catching blue and gold for sale boards and smart offices, the James Ramsey web site and the stylish design of the stationary and property details.

During 2003, business partners, at James Ramsey saw their sales levels exceed their expectations. Clients, impressed with the professional levels of service and personal interest, recommended James Ramsey to their friends and neighbours.

In June part time office administrator, Julia Thompson, joined James Ramsey to help with the growing list of available properties, whilst still keeping their commitment to accompany every appointment.

Toward the end of 2003 James Ramsey continued to arrange property sales well into December, a traditionally quiet time in the property market. Over Christmas 2003 the offices were extended to create larger working space and accommodate further sales staff.

James Ramsey continued to sell properties across Chertsey and in the surrounding towns and villages, including Ottershaw, Addlestone, Lyne and Thorpe. To manage increasing interest in an expanding property register, full time sales negotiator, Mark Whitley-Jones joined James Ramsey in July 2004.

James Ramsey clients are pleased with the fact that all appointments are carried out by Paul or Mark and the idea that all members of staff have a very good knowledge of Chertsey from being established residents of the town themselves.

Other clients have been pleased that any problems in the conveyancing process have been dealt with immediately and efficiently, whilst some are more impressed with our ability to match purchasers to properties by listening to the buyers requirements and actually taking on board their needs.
