Generally
East Sheen, Barnes and Mortlake (London SW14 & London SW13) is a highly valued residential area on the western outskirts of London. Broadly the northern boundary is the River Thames and the course of the University Boat Race. To the south are over 2,500 acres of Richmond Park.
Travel communications to the capital are excellent with mainline services to Waterloo, buses to the West End, Kensington and Knightsbridge and underground connections from nearby Putney and Richmond. Heathrow airport is within twenty minutes and the motorways M3, M4 nd M25 are all within a fifteen minute drive.
Leisure
Recreational facilities are considerable with an abundance of clubs catering for virtually every sport. The Rugby Football Union at Twickenham and the All England Club at Wimbledon are easily accessible by public transport.
Shopping facilities
East Sheen is a busy town and has a branch of Waitrose and Safeway together with Boots, Woolworth and most major banks and building societies. The more comprehensive shopping centres of Putney and Richmond are within ten minutes drive.
