Curchods, Cobham
When the Curchods journey first began, we were determined never to be the subject of the horror stories so often told about estate agents. Our aim was to ensure we stood out in a world of service mediocrity, by providing outstanding customer care, quality professional advice and a determination to realise our clients' objectives. We understand the unique pressures of buying and selling property and are committed to making the transaction as smooth, fast and stress free as possible.
The responsibility of handling the sale or purchase of what is likely to be your most expensive asset and probably your best tax free investment opportunity, must be consigned to someone with integrity, who you can trust. As members of the National Association of Estate Agents and the Ombudsman for Estate Agents, we are bound by vigorously enforced Codes of Practice and professional Rules of Conduct. Our greatest asset is our reputation and we will never do anything to compromise our high ethical principles.
The village charm of Cobham is one of the most endearing features of this delightful Surrey town. Its busy High Street offers a selection of shops and supermarkets akin to that of a larger town.
Cobham is particularly popular with commuters and is situated just inside the M25, with access at junction 10 only 3 miles from the town centre. This makes both Heathrow and Gatwick airports accessible in approximately 1/2 an hour. The mainline rail station has regular services to and from London (Waterloo 35 minutes) whilst central London is approximately 17 miles by road.
The cosmopolitan nature of Cobham attracts international families to the area, and this is enhanced by the American Community School and also the Dutch School. In addition to these, there are numerous state and private schools in the area catering for all age groups. There is a full selection of recreational facilities including many renowned Golf courses as well as leisure centres and varied sports clubs.
The area is surrounded by open countryside and farmland, with many fine walks to be had through Oxshott Woods and along the banks of the River Mole, which meanders through Cobham and past (and through) Cobham Mill, which dates back more than one hundred years, and which has been recently fully restored to its former glory. The Royal Horticultural Society's, world famous "Wisley Gardens" and the National Trust's "Claremont Park & Landscaped Gardens" are all close by. So too is Painshill Park (now open to the public) with its so-called "Follies" and 200 acres of beautiful park and woodland.
All in all, Cobham has to be one of the places to live in Surrey.
