The present firm was formed in 2001 when two of North Staffordshire and South Cheshire's leading firms of Chartered Surveyors, Auctioneers and Estate Agents - Charles Butters & Sons (established in 1856) and John A. Bee & Co (established in 1921) amalgamated to become Butters John Bee. We are now firmly established as the leading independent firm in the region.

Since the amalgamation further expansion has taken place with new offices opened at Congleton in Cheshire and Longton in Stoke on Trent . The Nantwich office has relocated to new premises in Pepper Street and we have opened a new residential office in Piccadilly in Hanley, Stoke on Trent. In Spring 2005 a new residential Sales office was opened in Stone in Staffordshire

In addition a brand new purpose built Headquarters has been constructed on Festival Park in Stoke on Trent from where all head office functions are undertaken together with Commercial Agency, Commercial and Residential Property Management, Property Auctions Administration, Commercial and Residential Valuations and Surveys, Residential lettings and accounts.

We have 13 outlets, employ in excess of 125 people and have 10 Chartered Surveyors.
