Bob Gutteridge Estate Agents was formed in April 1989 as a partnership between Bob and his wife, Katrina, at their present office at Porthill, Newcastle, Staffordshire and over the past 14 years has become established as one of the leaders in residential Estate Agency in the Potteries area.

The firm specialises in the sale of new and second-hand properties and provides support to major national housebuilders with regard to part exchange and the sales of clients existing properties and the firm also specialises in residential property management, looking after a substantial portfolio of private clients properties and is, therefore, able to offer full management facilities with regard to the letting of residential properties.

Bob Gutteridge commenced his Estate Agency career in the West Midlands in the summer of 1971 being promoted to the office management at a young age of 20 in Newport, Shropshire followed by posts in Hanley in Stoke on Trent, Biddulph in Staffordshire Moorlands where he became a local partner with a leading firm of North Staffordshire/South Cheshire Estate Agents, after which time Bob was strongly of the opinion that the future of residential properties lay not only in the hands of the large corporate groups of companies, and that there was an opportunity for a small firm providing a more personal and efficient service to its clients, subsequently, Bob and Kate decided to open the current practice which has become part of the local community in the Porthill area and due to its success now offers property for sale and to let and a full range of Estate Agency services throughout the entire Potteries region. Bob recently gained a HNC qualification in land administration (valuation and property management) and has recently successfully passed Diploma in valuation awarded by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Katrina Gutteridge commenced her career in the Insurance Industry and joined Bob in their joint Estate Agency venture in April, 1989, Kate in addition to her administration abilities now provides specialist advice to new home builder clients and is responsible for the firms flourishing residential management department.

Due to the demands on our services in the Stoke on Trent area, larger office premises were required to cope with the increase in business, in July of 2001 the present Agency in Porthill was extended to meet that demand, at the same time it was decided that a change of image for the 21st Century was required, so a full refurbishment of the extended property was undertaken to ensure the ability to provide the best possible services to our clients well into the future.
